Joseph V. Colarusso founded and has served as President of JVC Consulting, Inc. (“Company”) since 1996. The Company is a boutique consulting firm specializing in Lean Enterprise implementation and has achieved in excess of $500 million in client-documented savings. The Company has worked with over 50 clients in more than a dozen countries. The Company provides process improvement, project management, and training services. The Company’s employees and associates offer a unique blend of both operations and administration Lean expertise.
Mr. Colarusso’s client list includes Amgen, Medtronic, Cardinal Health – Clinical Technologies Division, Cardinal Health – Pharmaceutical Technologies Division, Cardinal Health – Medical Products Division, Catalent, Spectranetics, Pyxis, Callaway Golf, Guidant, Boeing, Alaris Medical Systems, Zevex, Southwest Fabricators, K-RAIN, ViaSat, Instromedix, San Diego Sheet Metal, Teledyne, LuMend, IntraLuminal Therapeutics, CryoCor, Johnson Matthey and Hydra Electric.
In addition, Mr. Colarusso founded JV Colarusso & Co. in 2001 and KAC Marketing, LLC in 2006. JV Colarusso & Co. provides administrative and consulting services to middle market companies, educational institutions, and large-cap, publicly held companies. KAC Marketing, LLC specializes in providing centralized marketing services to middle market companies.
Mr. Colarusso also currently teaches Professional Development Programs focusing on Lean Operations at San Diego State University’s Institute for Quality and Productivity. He helped create the curriculum and has taught the “Lean Enterprise” class since it’s inception in 2000. As of 2010, Mr. Colarusso serves as the Program Advisor as well as instructor.
Prior to establishing JVC Consulting, Inc., he was the Assistant Treasurer and held various marketing and finance positions with IVAC Medical Systems, Inc. In addition, Mr. Colarusso spent 4 years as an Investment Banking Associate with Goldman, Sachs and Co. in New York and a computer programmer for Merrill Lynch & Co.
He received an M.B.A. from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill and his B.S. in Computer Science from Pennsylvania State University. His lean enterprise expertise spans both the direct manufacturing and materials areas as well as the indirect areas, including sales, marketing, finance, inventory management and distribution.
Mr. Colarusso credits much of his success to a “results-oriented focus” in everything he does. Mr. Colarusso’s track record with a wide range of corporations speaks volumes of his accomplishments thanks to his expertise in Lean Consulting. Mr. Colarusso enjoys spending time with his wife and son, as well as an occasional round of golf.
